Over four hundred pages of fascinating facts. I have studied the Bible for several decades from several angles but I was uniquely impressed by this study of God's word. This book is certainly a must read addition to any study of the spiritual nature of humans, angels and demons. Genesis clearly states that there is a battle between the seed of the woman and the seed of the Devil. This book is all about that battle and the reasons for it. The best part comes near the end when the reader sees the real-life implications of that conflict in the daily lives of the believer and also the future conclusion of that battle which is yet to come. The eternal question: Why do bad things happen to good people, is at least partially answered here along with the spiritual reasons for the harsh judgments of God toward some so-called innocent people, and entire civilizations who were regarded as the enemies of God. Why were they enemies? Sorry, but I won't give it away here. Like a good mystery, the book needs to be read in order to see how the mystery unfolds. Good reading and excellent and vital information for the believer in Jesus Christ.
The author of this book has truly been inspired by God. I have followed the blog for several years and it is rare to find true biblical Christianity being exemplified and proclaimed. The book is an extensive presentation into the "how and why" the corruption of the world and mankind all got started. With the research done for this book as well as the author sticking to scripture and letting "scripture interpret scripture" instead of postulating, the reader gets a better understanding of Satan's plan. This book also sheds light on the proclivities of fallen mankind toward certain forbidden practices. Mr. Pitterson has taken documented biblical sources and tied them all together so that the reader gets "the whole picture" of Satan's well thought-out plan for decimating humanity. This book brings into focus just how badly Satan wanted and wants to destroy God's creation and the immense love that God has for us to the point of becoming human and dying for our sins just so we can have eternal communion with Him.
Ryan Pitterson has an absolute masterpiece here. I bought this book on a fluke, and would have been satisfied had it only contained clarification on a few verses of scripture. What a joy to be enlightened and educated page after page! This book flows evenly from beginning to end, and whenever he makes a statement, he backs it up with scripture. This is how he has formatted the entire book, with scripture and quotes from biblical scholars to back up the storyline from beginning to end. A rare find, and one to add to the collection of any believer in Jesus Christ!
Well written and researched book that constantly quotes the scripture throughout. Reading this book has forced me to reevaluate what I missed or did not understand in church Sunday school. It is a wonderful dissertation not only poses many questions but guides the reader with detail biblical accounts and explanations. I did not realize so much of human race was corrupted by the Nephilim prior to the flood. Also I have always known that man was filled with lust but did not realize how much angels were full of lust for human women. Excellent read, extremely informative and difficult to put down.
It's the most enlightening book I've read. While reading the Old Testament, I wondered why God could be so mean at times, I read on Genesis 6 about the fallen angels, mating with the women on earth, but I never understood just what was happening. I have a total understanding of God now, why "He" does what "He" does, and I'll never question anything that I don't understand with His decisions again, He alone knows the whole ,ofwhat is going on around us, and I do believe we are in the period of "the Nephilim" once again regrettably.It took me a long time to read this book, because I kept referring back to the bible, just to make sure the book quoted it exactly, which it did.
I found myself having tears coming down my face as I read it. All that the devil did to stop redemption being possible, and the men of God that simply obeyed the LORD.My soul!!! I probably highlighted half the book. It was incredible to learn the intensity of Satan's actions to prevent God's plan of salvation. I will be going back through it to review passages that I feel compelled to preach! This is a precious book that I will be recommending to folks till I'm in heaven. Please thank Brother Ryan for me, his book will be a great help for the rest of my life!
Love this book. I have read a handful of books on the topic and this is the most well researched, easy to understand, and most importantly—thoroughly Biblical work I have read to date. So well documented and follows a logical path with each chapter building on the previous chapter. Wow!Some may see this topic as obscure, but it is 1000 times more relevant than most people realize. This book makes that clear and helps reveal that Genesis 6 has practical application for us today and it's directly linked to God's plan of redemption beginning with he prophecy in Genesis 3:15.
Perhaps because I am a Christian and as you open the book scripture is quoted, I was hooked. I like how the book opens by asking a number of thought-provoking questions. I had an idea what this book was going to be about and I couldn’t wait to learn the answers. The author is interested in this subject and he leaves no stone unturned. I for one want to know who was the first human woman to marry a NEPHILIM. This and many other questions are answered with lots of sources. The book is written for everyone and not just the researcher or theologian. A big thank you to the author for writing about a tough subject in a way that all can understand and glean information.
