As a tyro in the mp3 format and a new purchaser of an mp3 player, I purchased this book. After reading it and gaining a good deal of information, I unfortunately undertook to install the program, MusicMatch Jukebox, after reading the lyrical description of it provided by the author. Unfortunately, he did not tell my that this is an old and superceded version and that it cannot be installedd with any of the current internet browsers. Now it interferes directly with Windows Media Player and, worse than that, Windows Uninstall facility tell me that it cannot remove this from my hard drive. As result my work with mp3 is now impossible. My recommendation: if you buy this book, immediately remove the disk and destroy it.

I was looking for some answers but weren't what I was looking for but that was my fault so I guess the book was ok

It was missing CD disk in the back of the book

An interesting piece of work for people who are totally clueless about things, On MP3's I am one of them. So I will continue to look for salvation in this tome of experience.

The text refers to technology that is about 10 years old. The CD that was supposed to be include with the book my have provide more meaningful and useful information. As it was, I had to get current information elsewhere.

I got the Complete idiot's guide to MP3 and the MP3 for Dummies and the books came alright but there was suppossed to be 1 cd in both of them and there are not. If there was not suppossed to cd in the books they should have written that in their posts. I Got at the same time step by step windows vista and there was a cd rom inside that one. I could of went to Ollie's discount store for the MP3 books and I would of seen their was not a cd inside. Disppointed about the cd not being inside.

The product was just like advertised but it was too far our of date to be useful. My fault in ordering it, not the dealer.
