I am a fan of Emma Apple. But I lingered the longest time over getting my first Emma Apple book because first, I assumed my child was too young for it and second I wasn't sure how she answered the very sensitive question. Well, the book is easy to read and you can use it with all ages of children. Also I want to share a quote from page 20:"We will never know the size of Allah, but we can observe the size of the things he created around us."That's the premise of the book, but it's a satisfying conclusion. It might help anyone who has any doubt about buying the book.

I guess the author re-released this book in a wider book, making this volume 1 of a series "Children's First Questions." This book is also available in a shape/size much like the I Can Read books (more tall than wide).This book is amazing. Even as a parent I was reading this and thinking "wow! Can a million earths really fit inside the sun?!" I love that this book combines faith with amazing science facts, as that I what I love best about Islam and want to pass on to my children. Additionally, the prose is simple and explanatory and easy to understand.That said, I bought this for my 3.5 year old, and while she understood the words, I don't know if she understood the concepts. This book didn't have an age suggestion, but I might figure that it is for elementary school age children or above. Unless you have a younger reader that is really into space, which this book talks a lot about, then maybe they will follow along.I am only subtracting one star because the illustrations are all black and white. It works for the book, and honestly this is a 5 star book compared to so many other books out there. However it would have been AMAZING with color photos. I really love Jason Chin's illustrated books on science topics. The pictures are so rich and the stories so clear that my daughter, even young as she is can understand the scientific concepts.I only mention Jason Chin, because that is how great Ms. Apple's book is, that it is in the same vein as some of these mainstream science books. In fact, I would recommend this book to people of all faiths. The word Allah means "The God," as in there is only one. So if you believe in only One God, and science, then this is a great book for you and your family.

We love our book. Especially it is explained in galaxy way interesting kids love listening to it while i’m reading.👍🏻

The book How Big is Allah? By Emma Apple is a delightfully fun book that draws on the awe and magnificence of the Earth and Space to explain a difficult concept to children and that puts things into perspective in relation to their own size.It is simple to read but contains within it some very interesting and relevant facts. It starts off by asking the children to reflect on their own size. It makes them think and try to relate their size to the smallest and then the biggest things that they can think of. It then goes on to describe the size of the snowflake all the way to the size of the solar systems and by doing so draws attention to the fact Allah is the CREATOR of all of this, so imagine how great he is?
