I happen to be in the OR field and this book is a good intro/reference book during college

It can be excused for being a bit of a dry read, yet it does well to cram so much thought-provoking and actionable information into such a slim volume. This is a revised second edition of an original 2013 publication, but much can change in a few years so it is a worthy replacement if you have the classic original and a great introduction if you have, so far, yet to discover its charms and power.
